Privacy Policy & Zero File Retention Promise

1. Immediate File Deletion (Zero Retention)

Unlike traditional photocopy shops where shopkeepers save your files or store them on vulnerable flash drives, PrintBox never permanently archives your document files.

The moment a kiosk signals that page printing is complete, our automated background worker executes a permanent file shred and deletion on our private storage disk. Your file no longer exists on any server or kiosk buffer.

2. 24-Hour Automated Purge for Unprinted Files

If a document is uploaded but the customer cancels payment or leaves without completing the print job, the file is automatically purged within 24 hours via a scheduled server cron job (printbox:cleanup-files).

3. What We Keep (Audit Metadata Only)

To comply with taxation, accounting, and anti-fraud regulations, PrintBox only stores operational metadata:

• Job Number (e.g. PJ-261104-XXXX) and timestamp
• Total pages printed, copies, colour type, and transaction amount
• Customer mobile number for sending payment receipts and SMS pickup codes
• Payment gateway transaction reference
• No file contents, previews, or text extracts are ever retained.

4. Encrypted Transmissions

All communication between your mobile browser, our application servers, and the physical kiosk hardware is encrypted using TLS 1.3 HTTPS. Files are downloaded by kiosks using single-use, cryptographically signed URLs that expire after 15 minutes.
